Blaine Lunsford & Teal Francis

This week's featured artists are Blaine Lunsford of the Woven Boreal & Teal Francis!

Blaine is a natural dye fiber artist, specializing in color theory based applications of raw dye materials, natural dye extracts and creating and dyeing with an organic indigo dye VAT. She'll be doing a variety of demos throughout the weekend, including bundle dyeing, ice-dyeing and/or creating an organic indigo dye VAT to dye multiple types of fibers.

Teal is a printmaker, creating screen and block prints on paper and fabric, upcycled clothing, and ceramics. Her work is centered around open endedness and play! She'll be demo-ing linoleum printing with water-based inks, as well as sewing. Come practice printing a linocut on paper or fabric! 

Blaine and Teal with both have original work available for sale, including naturally dyed linens, tea-towels and garments, 100% silk scrunchies dyed by means of bundle dyeing, natural dye kits with homegrown dye plants, framed & unframed prints, upcycled screen printed clothing, handmade clothing and ceramics!
