Emma Creek Fiber & Yarn

This week's featured artist is Wendy Berg of Emma Creek Fiber & Yarn!

Wendy is a local fiber artist who creates art batts and roving for spinners, and handspun yarns made from naturally colored and hand dyed fibers.

She’ll be offering many different opportunities to learn about fiber arts, including spinning a variety of fibers into yarn with different spinning tools. You’ll be able to try your hand on traditional spinning wheels, an electric spinning wheel, and a traditional Charkha from India!

There will be other fiber tools available on site including hand combs, hand carders, and a blending board that we’ll teach you to use! For those interested in weaving, a warped rigid heddle loom and a lap loom will be on site for you to try out!

Wendy’s handspun yarns and hand-dyed fiber braids will also be available for purchase!
