Kassandra Mirosh of Weyekin Studio

This week's featured artist is Kassandra Mirosh of Weyekin Studio!

Kassandra is an artist from Healy who works primarily in paper and cardboard sculpture. Her bird sculptures are made by individually cutting and folding each feather from recycled, specialty and handmade papers to create artistic renditions of birds. She also makes mosaics on repurposed instruments and wood, handmade cards and books.

She'll be demonstrating the techniques she uses to create her bird sculptures and inviting the community to try their hand at folding feathers themselves!

Kassandra's original bird sculptures, mosaics and handmade cards will be available for purchase!

Hours:

• Friday, June 20th: 5:30-8:30pm*

• Saturday, June 21st: 10:30am-6:30pm*

• Kassandra will be participating in the Design Alaska Wild Arts Walk at Creamer’s Field on Sunday, June 22nd!
