Still Winter Studio & Feivorite Things

This week's featured artists are Sandra Westcott of Still Winter Studio and Fei Ewald of Feivorite Things!

Sandra is a bead artist who uses traditional methods of loom and off-loom bead weaving techniques and designs earrings with a contemporary look. She also works in ink and watercolors. She’ll be demonstrating her ink and watercolor drawing techniques and have a self-guided public participation board available for anyone who would like to draw too!

Sandra's beaded earrings, notecards and original artwork will be available for purchase.

Fei is a conceptual fiber artist exploring familial history and cultural tradition while prioritizing sustainable art practices. She'll be showcasing her artwork while also inviting visitors of all ages to participate in two community art projects that allow participants to creatively reflect on their personal history. Together, we will create a tangible representation of the warmth and resilience of our collective experience in Interior Alaska!

If you’re also a crafter yourself, save those unwanted scraps! Fei will have a donation station for leftover yarn and fabric pieces that will be reused on site for the community art pieces.

Fei will be selling a variety of both functional and decorative items handmade from scrap and secondhand fabrics. This includes wall hangings, fiber art pieces, coasters, placemats, pillowcases, book covers, and more.
