Wall Tent Woodworks & Gabriel Hill

This week's featured artists are Stefan Milkowski (Wall Tent Woodworks) and Gabriel Hill!

Stefan is a woodworker who builds everything from furniture to buildings using local wood and traditional techniques. He'll be demonstrating how to make a simple stool frame from a round of birch, including splitting with mallet and froe, shaving with draw knife and shaving horse, drilling with brace and bit.

Gabriel's craft work is broad and primarily includes the use of traditional tools and techniques to create wooden objects. He is currently focused on fine art and the creation of masks and sculpture, using locally sourced wood and hand made tools.

He'll have some hands-on opportunities for folks to learn proper knife sharpening for woodworking, carpentry, cooking or other crafts. His fine art work as well as an array of spoons, carving tools, refurbished antique hand tools and more will be for sale.
